Heartfelt Wedding Ceremonies
Interfaith Minister for Weddings
Your wedding day should be as unique as your love story. I work closely with each couple to craft a heartfelt and personal ceremony that reflects your journey together. Whether you envision a traditional, spiritual, secular, or interfaith wedding, I will create a ceremony that feels true to you.
As a legal wedding celebrant, I ensure that your wedding is both legally binding and emotionally meaningful. From personalised vows to symbolic rituals, I will guide you every step of the way, making sure your ceremony is a moment to cherish forever.
MY ROLE AS AN INTERFAITH MINISTER
Legal
I’m on the HSE Register of Solemnisers, so the marriage is official on the day – no extra trip to the registry office.
Flexible
Together we can include prayers, poetry, enhancements, or keep it totally simple yet meaningful. Your call.
Inclusive
All faiths, mixed faith couples, LGBTQ+, second marriages—everyone is welcome.
Nationwide
I travel anywhere in Ireland once the venue meets HSE rules (has an address, open to public, covered space if it rains).
Creating Your Perfect Ceremony
From our first chat to your wedding day, I’ll guide you every step of the way.
How We Work Together
1. Quick chat – Make sure I’m the right fit and the date is free.
2. Book & deposit – €100 secures your date.
3. HSE appointment – You give notice and list me as your solemniser.
4. Plan your ceremony – We swap ideas, write vows, pick readings. Unlimited edits.
5. Wedding day – I run the ceremony and sign the paperwork.
6. Afterwards – You drop the signed MRF back to any HSE office within 30 days to get your marriage cert.

What Couples Say
“We engaged Nicola to marry us recently. Couldn’t have wished for a nicer, more laid back person. Due to living proximity we never got to meet in person before the day but felt we did after phones calls and zoom call. Nicola brought a beautiful personal touch to our ceremony and people who hadn’t been to a civil ceremony before were impressed at how warm and welcoming the ceremony was. We are so glad Nicola was free to marry us and she was always on the end of the phone with a quick text or reassurance. Thank you Nicola. Clare & David “

“Nicola is the most genuine, caring and wonderful person and celebrant who made our day very special. She could not of been more helpful or kind in planning the ceremony that we wanted. She goes above and beyond and puts all her amazing energy and love into what she does. Our ceremony was very intimate and exactly as we wanted. Nicola was always there at the end of the phone if advice was needed and from the very first phone call I knew that Nicola was fantastic at her role as celebrant. She was always so approachable. All our guests commented on the beautiful ceremony and we are forever grateful to Nicola. I would highly recommend Nicola, her beautiful personality shines through her role as celebrant. Thank you again Nicola so much. Ciara & Oliver Berry”

“Nicola officiated our wedding on new years eve 2024. She was absolutely brilliant, right from our 1st interaction with her right up until the day itself and even afterwards she was on the ball with everything. Nicola made the event go so smoothly for us and had so many ideas for us to structure the ceremony. Nicola took time to get to know us as a couple before the wedding and the story she shared of us during the ceremony couldn’t have been more us, we couldn’t have put it better ourselves, we really appreciated it. My mother was a bit anxious before the ceremony itself as other family members were running a bit late and Nicola casually sat with her and put her completely at ease without anyone noticing, we did though. It was a super day and would really encourage anyone considering Nicola to go with her, her personality is great too and all our guests were also so impressed. Thanks again, David and Nicole.”

“From the moment we contacted Nicola we knew we were in safe hands for our wedding.
She was there for us every step of the way and truly listened and cared. We wanted our ceremony to be one of joy, fun and laughter and Nicola absolutely delivered this. Every single guest said it was one of their favourite ceremonies they’d ever been to & we have Nicola to fully thank for this. If you are looking for someone to make your story shine as a couple and deliver a personal, thoughtful ceremony then Nicola is the person for you.
In fact she set up her ceremony table, calmed the groom and then came out to calm me and do some deep breaths before walking down the aisle! For that I am truly grateful.
We could not recommend her enough – thank you Nicola for making our day so so special! Una & Shane xx”

Frequently Asked Questions
I know that choosing the right celebrant or seeking spiritual support is a deeply personal decision. As a celebrant trained and recognised by OneSpirit Interfaith Ireland, I’m committed to offering inclusive, compassionate care. Below, you’ll find answers to common questions to help you feel informed, comfortable, and confident as you explore my services.
What is the difference between a “celebrant” and a “solemniser”?
In Ireland, anyone can call themselves a celebrant, but only those listed on the Register of Solemnisers can legally marry a couple. I am registered, which means I can both create a personalised ceremony and complete the legal solemnisation on the day—no registry office follow up required.
Can you legally marry us anywhere in Ireland?
Almost. The ceremony venue must:
- Have an identifiable postal address.
- Be open to the public (a private garden is fine if guests can freely access it).
- Wheelchair accessibility is a must.
I’m happy to help you check a location’s suitability with the HSE in advance.
Do we still need to visit the HSE office?
Yes. All couples must give a minimum of three months’ notice at an HSE Civil Registration Service. You’ll receive a Marriage Registration Form (MRF) – bring that to the ceremony and I’ll complete it. Don’t worry I will guide you through this process also, after all you can’t get married in Ireland without this.
How far in advance should we book you?
Popular summer Saturdays can fill 12–18 months ahead, while mid‑week or off‑season dates may be available with just a few months notice. Reach out as soon as you have a date in mind.
What religions or beliefs do you cater for?
I offer fully inclusive, non‑religious, partially‑religious, or inter‑faith ceremonies. Whether you want Celtic hand‑fasting, a biblical reading, or no spirituality at all, I’ll shape the script to reflect your story and values and create a ceremony that captures the essence of you as a couple.
Do you travel nationwide?
Absolutely – Dublin to Dingle, Belfast to Bantry. Travel is included; beyond that if needed, modest accommodation would be required but never usually necessary.
What does your fee cover?
• Planning meetings. I prefer in person but where not possible we can arrange a zoom call.
• Unlimited script edits
• Vow writing guidance
• Ceremony Guidance, (leave all the logistics to me)
• Guidance through All legal paperwork beforehand and on the day.
How long does a ceremony last?
Typically 30 – 35 minutes—long enough to feel meaningful, short enough to keep guests smiling. Again this is your choice for content.
Can we write our own vows?
Please do! I’ll provide samples, tips on length and tone, and gentle coaching if public speaking feels daunting.
May we include rituals like hand fasting, sand blending, or candle lighting?
Yes, you can do all of these in your ceremony. We can also create a unique enhancement to suit you as a couple when we chat about options. The possibilities we can draw from are beautiful. If you have a family heirloom we can build that in too.
Do you conduct same sex weddings?
I celebrate love in all forms.
How do we secure our date?
After we arrange a quick hello phone call I ask you to come back with your decision to book me within 7 days. I will request a booking fee of a €100 non‑refundable deposit holds the date. The balance is due one week before the ceremony.
What happens after the wedding with our paperwork?
You must return the signed MRF to any HSE registry office within one month to receive your official marriage certificate (€20 fee). Many couples pop in on the first business day after the honeymoon.
What if you’re suddenly unable to attend?
I belong to a vast backup network. In an emergency, a qualified colleague—already briefed on your script—will step in at no extra cost. (Thankfully this has never happened)
Do you offer other family ceremonies?
Yes! Baby‑namings, child inclusion ceremonies, funerals and memorials—each designed to honour your family’s unique story.
